Anytime your training seems to have stalled out or your foal seems unduly nervous, return to a point in your training (even if it means a return to materials in Days One, Two or Three) and work from a point where he's comfortable. You may need to take things slower. Unlike mature horses, it's sometimes easy to force or manhandle a baby – but forcing something doesn't necessarily equate to "lesson learned" and can be dangerous.
